How many sessions will I need?
Microneedling works best as a series. Most patients do three to five treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, and a package of three is the easiest way to start. We will map out what makes sense for your skin at your first visit.
Can I add PRF?
Yes. PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is made from your own blood and can be added to your microneedling treatment. It is one of our most popular treatments, and your provider will help you decide whether it is right for your goals.

What should I expect after?
Plan your social calendar around the first few days.
Days 1 to 3
A sunburn-like effect is normal. Your skin may feel tight, dry and sensitive, with some redness.
Days 3 to 5
Some peeling or flaking is expected. Let it flake naturally, and keep your skin moisturized.
Aftercare
For one week, skip ibuprofen, ice, Arnica and bromelain. Tylenol is fine for any soreness.
For seven days, avoid retinoids, acids and exfoliants, hydroquinone and benzoyl peroxide. Most patients resume their regular skincare around day five to seven, once skin is calm.
For 48 hours, no makeup, and avoid sweating, saunas and steam rooms.
For two weeks, avoid sun and tanning. After the first 24 hours, wear SPF 30 or higher.
If you are prone to cold sores, let us know when you book so your provider can plan ahead.
