What is facial balancing?
Facial balancing is a whole-face approach to injectables. Instead of treating one feature in isolation, we look at how your lips, chin, cheeks, jawline, and the rest of your face relate to each other, then use expertly dosed Botox and filler to bring them into harmony. The goal is proportion, not volume.
It is the one thing we specialize in at Cheeky, and it is why our work tends to look like good genetics rather than “work.”
Why the whole face, not one feature?
Most “overdone” results come from treating a single feature without the rest of the face in mind.

The same lips, balanced with the chin and surrounding areas, simply read as a beautiful, natural face. We believe less is more, and we would rather do the minimum that brings you into harmony than the maximum you will notice in a year.
This is also why we almost never treat a single area on its own. A lip request often becomes a small amount of lip with the chin and chin shadows balanced around it. We will always tell you, honestly, what will and will not move the needle.

Product allocation. A single syringe of filler is about the size of a blueberry. Creating balance often requires multiple syringes, placed strategically for natural results.

Is facial balancing right for me?
Facial balancing is for people who want to look like the most rested, balanced version of themselves rather than someone new. If you are looking for a dramatic change or the most filler for the lowest price, we are probably not the right clinic for you, and that is okay. We cannot be the clinic for everyone, and we are always glad to point you toward someone who may be a better fit.

Like many patients, Dana had experienced the industry from the other side of the needle. The care felt transactional. The results, underwhelming. How is facial balancing different from getting filler in one area?
We treat the face as a whole. Balancing the areas around a feature is what makes a result look natural instead of “done.”
Can I just do one area?
At the end of the day, it is your face and your choice. But treating one feature without considering the rest of the face often creates imbalance. For the most cohesive result, we recommend completing your plan in one session. On some occasions, we may split treatment into two sessions for healing purposes, but this is the exception rather than the norm.
What is facial balancing done with?
Dermal filler and Botox, planned together across the whole face.
How many syringes will I need?
It varies by individual. Achieving a natural, balanced result typically requires several syringes placed across different areas. At Cheeky Denver, we price by the treatment plan rather than by syringe so your result, not a number of syringes, drives the approach.
How long will results last?
Most patients see results for 12 to 24 months, with minor touch-ups for maintenance every 12-18 months. Longevity depends on factors like the type of filler used, the areas treated, and your individual metabolism.
Is there downtime?
For Botox, most patients experience little to no downtime and return to work the same or next day. For filler, the most common side effects are minor swelling, bruising, and/or soreness. This can last between 2-10 days.
